Watsonville, Pet sitting 9-6 - 15-6

Turn right to Avocado street…We staan voor een bruggetje aan het begin van een park met zo’n 18 woningen. De weg gaat stijl omhoog. De instructies van Kim zijn goed, google had ons zeker verkeerd gestuurd. We komen aan bij een prachtige plek in de bergen met fantastisch uitzicht. We gaan op 2 honden en 2 papegaaitjes passen. Kim is nog 3 dagen aanwezig, dus we mogen overnachten in de cabin, zelfs vanuit de douche kijk je over de vallei.

We hebben heerlijke rustige dagen in de stilte van de natuur. Hummingbirds, eekhoorntjes, reeën, we zien ze allemaal. We genieten van Kim haar gast vrijheid. Het voelt als “thuiskomen”. Kim laat ons een kleine hike naar de top de van de berg zien, waar we genieten van een schitterend uitzicht. “Just sit here with a cup of coffee and enjoy the view”, she says.

De honden zijn speels, liefdevol en waakzaam. Doordat de honden ons al een paar dagen hebben meegemaakt zijn ze rustig onder het feit dat Kim vertrokken is. Althans dat is onze invulling. We genieten van deze petsit.

We bereiden ons nu voor op Costa Rica, een totaal nieuwe wereld. We hebben er zin in. 16 juni in de middag landen we op vliegveld San José CR.

Speciale noot: Dag USA, dank voor alle wonderschone natuur, verrassende landschappen met haar bergen, rivieren, oceaan en giants van bomen, vele vriendelijke Amerikanen en nieuwe vrienden. Wij zijn dankbaar !

Watsonville, Pet sitting 6-9 - 6-15

Turn right to Avocado street…We are standing in front of a small bridge at the beginning of a park with about 18 houses. The road drives steeply uphill. Kim's instructions are good, Google had certainly sent us the wrong way. We arrive at a beautiful place in the mountains with a fantastic view. We are going to look after 2 dogs and 2 parrots. Kim is still here for 3 days, so we are allowed to spend the night in the cabin, even from the shower there is an overlook at the valley. 

We have wonderful quiet days in the silence of nature. Hummingbirds, squirrels, deer, we see them all. We enjoy Kim's hospitality. It feels like “coming home.” Kim shows us a little hike to the top of her mountain, where we enjoy a magnificent view. “Just sit here with a cup of coffee and enjoy the view,” she says.

The dogs are playful, loving and watchful. Because the dogs have already experienced us for a few days, they are calm under the fact that Kim has left. At least that is our interpretation. We are enjoying this petsit.

Now we are preparing for Costa Rica, a completely new world. We are looking forward to it. June 16 in the afternoon we arrive at San Jose CR airport.
